FAQ

What areas do you serve for stump grinding and tree service?
We’re based in Mantua, OH and serve Geauga, Portage, and Summit counties and the Tri‑County area. If you’re nearby, reach out—we’re happy to help.
Can you reach tight backyards or fenced areas?
Yes. Our backyard‑accessible equipment fits through tight spaces and standard gates, minimizing lawn impact while reaching hard‑to‑access stumps.
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Yes—Brunty’s Stump Grinding, L.L.C. is licensed, bonded, and insured for your peace of mind.
What services do you offer besides stump grinding?
In addition to expert stump grinding and removal, we offer landscaping and tree services for both residential and commercial properties.
What are your hours of operation?
We offer flexible scheduling from dawn to dusk, and are available on Sundays by appointment to fit your needs.
What’s the difference between stump grinding and stump removal?
Stump grinding shreds the stump below ground level so you can replant or level the area, while stump removal extracts the entire stump and major roots. Grinding is typically faster, more affordable, and less disruptive to your yard.
How deep do you grind a stump?
We typically grind the stump below grade deep enough for re‑seeding with grass and general landscaping. Deeper grinding is available on request (helpful if you plan to plant a new tree or install features).
Do you grind exposed roots too?
Yes. We can grind visible surface roots near the stump to reduce tripping hazards and improve appearance. Let us know what finish you want.
What happens to the wood chips after grinding?
Grinding creates mulch‑like chips. Many customers keep them for beds or erosion control; chip removal/haul‑away can be arranged—just ask when you request your estimate.
How is pricing determined?
Pricing depends on stump size (diameter), quantity, species density, depth requested, root spread, obstacles, and access. We offer free, no‑obligation estimates with fair, upfront pricing.
